Plot

The movie is about how Sadashiv Rao Bhau, the chief commander of the Maratha army battle against Ahmed Shah Abdali, the Afghanistan king and his forces in the third battle of Panipat that happened in 18th century in India. Sadashiv Rao works as the commander in Nana Saheb Peshwa's army. What is the part of Shadashiv Rao’s wife Parvati Bhai, Vishwas Rao, the Peshwa heir, Shamsher Bahadur and Ibrahim Khan Gardi in the Panipat War? What is the plan of the Maratha warriors to defeat Ahmed Shah and his army? Watch the film to know the rest.

Star Performance

Arjun Kapoor did his part well, especially in the climax battle sequence. He had also done a good job in the romantic scenes. Sanjay Dutt is perfect as Ahmed Shah Abdali. His sharp eyes and body language are perfect for the role. Sanjay Dutt’s dialogue delivery is stunning. The rest of the stars had done justice to the given characters.

Analysis

It is a perfect script with engaging screenplay and free flow narration. The songs by Ajay and Atul are perfect and the BGM is astounding. The cinematography by C K Muraleedharan is absolutely stunning. The team brings us the real battle in front of our eyes with the beautiful star cast and the perfect team of a cinematographer, music composer and editor.

Except for a few minor flaws, nothing is seriously negative

Verdict

Panipat is a good film that brought out the potential of Arjun Kapoor and the excellent performance of Sanjay Dutt and the rest of the supporting stars. It is definitely a watchable movie!
