Plot

Shamshera is a tribal leader who fights for the rights of his people. Shudh Singh, who works in the British army, makes Shamshera’s people slaves, betraying the tribal leader. In this, Shamshera loses his life. His son, Balli, follows his dad’s footpath and fights for the people after 25 years of his father’s death. Will he succeed? The rest of the film speaks about it.

Star Performance

Ranbir Kapoor played a dual role, a father and a son. He has done justice to the given roles. Sanjay Dutt is good in his antagonist role. The rest of the stars have done what is needed.

Analysis

The film starts interestingly but fails to keep the audience glued. The team wanted to show grandeur visuals, VFX, etc. But, not all are appreciable and left the audience questioning if it is from a renowned banner. The film created a huge expectation right from the announcement, and Sanjay Dutt’s antagonist role was spoken highly before the release. The biggest positive part is the combination scenes of Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor. The action sequences are well-choreographed, and a couple of scenes towards the climax are well-shot. Many stars are not utilized properly. If the characters are penned well and the supporting stars have been given some good roles, the film might have got a different response. The songs and BGM are decent. The cinematography is quite good.
