Plot

The film starts with the merciless murder of an NRI named  Paul Dhillon (Vishal Handa) just a few days before his marriage. He is found dead in Jagrana village in Punjab. The bride, Veera Soni (Anand Priya), is shattered by this news. Paul’s friend, Liam (Ivantiy Novak), has also disappeared.

They question the bride’s ex-boyfriend Saakar (Saurav Khurana) but do not find any clue. As they investigate the case deeply, they get to know about several hidden secrets within the family.

Who killed Paul and why? Where is Paul's friend? What secrets are revealed? Will the two cops successfully solve this case?

Star Performance

Suvinder Vicky, who played the role of Balbir Singh, looks good on screen. He shows all the characteristics of an intelligent and determined police officer. After the film Asur, Barun Sobti shines in this film too. He executed his character of Amarpal  Garundi perfectly. His dialogue delivery and expressions are outstanding. Both Suvinder and Barun are the two strengths of this film. They make the film gripping from the beginning till the end.

The supporting cast also tried their best for this film. Harleen Sethi looks decent on screen. Varun Badola and Manish Chaudhary add depth to the film. Lagaan fame Rachel Shelly delivered a brilliant performance.

Analysis

The series explores love, truth, hope, hate, and deception. It also sheds light on various societal issues in Punjab, such as drugs and land inheritance. All the characters are explored in depth. The storyline keeps the viewers engaged from start to finish. The tense and suspenseful atmosphere creates excitement among the viewers. The film’s setup is impressive, and the interaction between local and foreign people adds depth to this film. It provides an insight into the dark truths and family lies that are kept hidden because of social norms. The cast of this series gave a remarkable performance. The cinematographer deserves a lot of appreciation for beautifully capturing the rural scenes of Punjab. The background score and music add more suspense and tension. Overall, Kohrra is a must-watch film.

Overall, Kohrra is a thrilling series filled with suspense and tension from the beginning till the end. The second half keeps the viewers on tenterhooks as many secrets are unveiled. You should definitely solve the murder mystery in this film.
