Bank Chor is the comedy thriller movie scripted by Baljeet Singh Marwah and Vivek Mathur alias “ Bumpy.” Baljeet and Bumpy penned the screenplay along with Omkar Sane and Ishita Moitra Udhwani. Bumpy directed the film. Ashish Patil produced the film and Yash Raj Films distributed it. Adil Afsar cranked the camera and the music is by Shri Sriram, Kailash Kher, Baba Sehgal, Rochak Kohli and Shamir Tandon. The film features Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles. Rhea Chakraborty plays the female lead. Vikram Thapa, Sahil Vaid and Bhuvan Arora are also in the star cast.

Plot

Champak plans to rob a bank with his teammates Gulab and Genda. Before the team executes their plan, Amjad Khan, the inspector enters the scene and decides to panic them. He gives a false statement to the media that there are some secret agents working in the bank to lock the looters. However, this creates a new twist in the story. When the amateur robbers draw a plan to escape from the situation, another gang plans to use their name and rob the bank. What happens next? Did Champak and team escape from the situation? Did Amjad arrest the new gang? Watch it on silver screens!

Star Performance

Riteish’s performance grabs the attention of the audiences. Vivek Oberoi comes as a good cop and impresses. Vikram Thapa and Bhuvan Arora make the audiences giggle with their comedy performance.

Analysis

Bumpy’s direction is quite okayish. But the bank robbery story is not a new one to the Indian film industry. The makers should have concentrated well on the script as well as screenplay. There are a lot of logical loopholes in the film, which are easily visible without any magnifying glasses.

What’s There?

  • Hilarious performances of the stars
  • Rhea’s supporting role is designed well and she had done it neatly

What’s Not There?

  • Logic is missing out in many places
  • The much needed twist comes very late and makes the viewers feel irritating

Verdict

Bank Chor is not a poor movie to be left out and not a must watch movie too. If you have no movies to watch for this weekend, you could visit Bank Chor!
