PLOT

So, Janu gives up this terrorist life to continue his relationship with Pearl. Knowing this, his master arrives the city in a plan to both eliminate the city as well as the couple. While Dinakar goes around the city searching for his gun, he accidentally saves the life of the mayor as well as the police commissioner’s daughter and becomes the city hero. Dinakar meets his dream girl Sonia, and they both become committed, and Dinakar gets promoted to an inspector due to his brave act. His first duty now is to take now care of the security at the Mumbai police show. The master now plans and plants a bomb beneath the stage of the police show where lots of people are gathered. So, does the bomb planted beneath the stage blast? What happens to the life of the people including Dinakar, Janu, Sonia and Pearl? Is there any possibility for the new city hero to defuse the bomb? STAR PERFORMANCES

Shreyas Talpade was outstanding. He has served justice to his role. Timely expressions and humor make him stand apart. Kay Kay and Vijay also have done a very good job, as always. But one thing that makes the overall performance dip a little is the one by Shenaz. Poor expressions at very necessary places give a slight inconvenience to the viewer. But overall, it’s a good performance by the cast.

POSITIVES

For a first time director, this is indeed a good flick. He has done a very good job handling the humor with the action. The cinematography is quite decent. The overall performance is good, and to mention, the lead’s one is outstanding. Shehnaz sings a song in the film, which must be noted. The soundtrack is also well designed to match the movie’s temper.

NEGATIVES

This entertainment piece would have been a bit on the higher level, if the total time would have been reduced, cutting some unnecessary scenes, which both bores as well as confuses the audience. In connection to this, there is a bit of a screenplay drag which makes the movie slow at times.

VERDICT

How many of you would have even heard of this movie? This is surely an underrated one due to poor promotion and inappropriate time of release. Otherwise, this would have been a hit. Timely comedy, appropriate humor, believable action and the thrill at the climax, makes this underrated piece a must watch one.
