The plot revolves around Stephanie and Joe Morelli. Stephanie hails from New Jersey, and now, she is jobless. Stephanie is badly in need of some cash to make the ends meet. She is a woman who minds her etiquettes. But still, as survival instinct takes over, she seeks the help of cousin Vinnie, who has got a tarnished reputation.

Vinnie runs a shady company called Bail Bonds, and Stephanie gets employed in Bail Bonds. Stephanie does not possess the skill-sets to be an agent. But with her amateurish outlook, Stephanie becomes the agent. Vinnie uses Stephanie to track down Joe Morelli. Joe Morelli happens to be an ex-police officer. And, he is an accused in the crime. Incidentally, Joe was her boyfriend back in the high-school who had robbed Stephanie off her virginity.

Then, he had ditched her. As Stephanie is way ahead in the case, Stephanie faces difficulties from her family that keeps intervening in her profession. Also, strangely enough, when she is just about to reach her witnesses, they die. Just as Stephanie tracks down Morelli, the unexpected happens. She has already fallen in love with him. Actress Katherine Heigl is an actress with huge potentials in her. But, sadly enough, she has been wasted in the movie.

The movie is yet another proof that her career as an actress is going downhill. In spite of doing the movie, she could have done some television show comfortably. The movie appears to be some sloppy work, and the narration throughout is irritating. Every character in the movie is trying to perform the New Jersey accent to the fullest. But, Heigl is seen changing accents without consistency. In a particular scene in the movie, Heigl gets considerably exposed, and audiences are left to admire her beauty.

In spite of the mission against Joe, Heigl is drawn to him. But, it fails to provoke sexual tension in the audience. The underlying libido which attracts Stephanie to Joe could compensate for the lack of interest among the audiences. But, the movie director has failed in the effort to do so.
