The movie is a dedication to Alejandro Jodorowsky, a director from Chile. Ryan Gosling has done the role of Julian, and Kristin Scott Thomas has done the role of his mother.
Plot: The plot goes back in time to ten years. The opening scene depicts the character Julian killing a cop. Then he launches an escapade and is the head of a boxing club in Thailand. The boxing club is just a fake beyond which a huge heist is happening. Thugs of the underworld have a deep regard for Julian. But, there is something missing in Julian’s life. Julian’s brother happens to kill a slut. He is killed by the police for the heinous act. But, Crystal, who is Julian’s criminal mom, does not accept things as they are. Now, Julian has to find the killer and settle scores. Julian has to settle the scores with the retired cop ‘Angel of Vengeance’. He seeks consolation by calling the cop for a boxing match. But, Julian is defeated. Crystal is furious and what follows is a bloody confrontation with the ‘Angel of Vengeance.'
Verdict:Â The movie does not attempt any narration. Neither does the movie attempt on building the characters impeccably.
