Analysis
Extinction is a watchable movie. However, there are some disturbing elements in the film. The filmmakers included child actors mainly, Lucy and Hanna. They made them the main focus. However, these actors turned out to be the main distraction in the movie. The actors, Amelia Crouch and Erica Tremblay, acted terribly. The storyline is fantastic and exciting. It engaged the audience from the beginning. But as the movie proceeded, the kids became more irritating. The dialogues of the characters were top-notch. It takes audience’s emotions on the rollercoaster, making them experience highs and lows in the human world and alien’s world. However, the pace of the film is problematic. It is instead a slow film. The script had potential but, it got wasted. It could be better.
The screenplay of the movie is good. The movie’s plot is unique and presents a commentary on the human world invading alien planets. It has fantastic cinematography. It made the script easy to visualize. The soundtracks are impressive and intense.
