Recently, it was announced that she would receive the Padma Bhushan, one of the highest civilian honors in India. Vani started her career in 1971 and has sung more than 10,000 songs in her career in various languages. She is one of the few singers who’ve sung in more than 15 languages. Vani has sung in 19 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Tulu, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Haryanvi, Punjabi, and Marathi.
