Following the verdict by Supreme Court regarding the Sabarimala case about the women of all age groups to be permitted to the hilltop temple, the Kerala CM,
Pinarayi Vijayan
said that he would respect the SC rules and also said that he has no qualms in allowing the women to the temple. Social activist
Trupti Desai
announced that she would be visiting the temple with a group of women on 17th November. She arrived at Kochi airport today. But, as there is a massive opposition for her, she has been held at the airport for hours. She had already stated that if anyone hurts her, Kerala CM and the police department are responsible. The tradition that has been followed by the people for more than hundred years is not easy to break, say the regular Sabarimala devotees and the general public.
