Tamilnadu Government announced incentives to the athletes, who grabbed medals from the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia. Joshna Chinnappa, who got the silver medal in the squash doubles, will get Rs. 30 lakh prize money. Sathyan, who won silver in the mixed doubles in Table Tennis, will receive Rs. 50 Lakhs. Sharath Kamal, who won bronze in Table Tennis singles, will get Rs. 50 Lakhs. Deepika, who got silver in the Squash doubles, will get Rs. 60 lakhs. This year Commonwealth Games have become India’s one of the most successful CWG and India finishes third in the medals tally with 66 medals.
