After a wide range of films as a comedy star with almost all the top heroes, who are trending in Tamil industry, Santhanam got an opportunity to play a solo hero with Vallavanukku Pullum Ayudham. The film made a super hit and Santhanam quit committing comedy characters and started undertaking the hero roles.
