The government recently announced that every school should teach three languages to the students till 8th standard. As Hindi was also on the list, the Tamilnadu politicians opposed it, stating that the central government is imposing Hindi in Tamilnadu. Many hashtags like #StopHindiImposition and #TNAgainstHindiImposition started spreading virally and even people from the film industry opposed it.

But, the Revised New Education Policy Draft had been released and now, they had removed the statement regarding Compulsory Hindi and added that the students could have their own preference. Now a new hashtag has been spreading virally and it is #HindiIsNotTheNationalLanguage
