" has sent Rs 25 lakh worth relief materials to the Gaja cyclone-affected areas. Selvakumar sent the materials in three Lorries from Saligramam, Chennai. 1500 sacks of rice, 200 sacks of wheat flour, 100 bags of pulses, Maida, cooking materials, milk powder, bedsheets, dress materials, medicines and vegetables are sent in the lorries. Besides this, they have planned to plant the saplings on Saturdays and Sundays. Selvakumar stated that people should not depend on the government and work with social interest. He also stated that there are a lot of good people among us and it is the right time to send out the corrupted politicians. PT Selvakumar also insisted the government not only to send the relief materials and just the monetary compensation but to plant lakhs of coconut, teak, guava, mango saplings and also to appoint workers to maintain them; only then, the people would breathe fresh air.
