Nandita Returns To Tamil Cinema!

Nandita Das, who was last seen with Vishnu Vishal in “Neerparavai,” has been gearing up to make a comeback to Tamil cinema. She will be seen in a yet to be titled film with “Samuthirakani” in the lead. The film will be helmed by Kutti Revathi, the poet and lyricist. The film deals with the violence against the household women. When asked about the film to Kutti Revathi, she says, "The movie will reflect the various problems faced by the women in their families. I felt director cum actor, Samuthirakani and Nandita Das would match the best for the lead roles. Both of them gave an affirmative nod to be part of the film after listening to the script. The script is by writer Damayanthi. Samuthirakani's character is perfectly made for him and only he could pull it off. So, I approached Samuthirakani first. Nandita is at present busy with a film and she is expected to join us after wrapping up the project." Although the film deals with the issues faced by the women, it could not be defined as a woman-centric, says the director. The film will roll on the floors in September.
