The latest update on Mersal is that a story has been rolling on the internet as Mersal story. This is the story: Vijay and Nithya Menen are blessed with twins. One of the twins is adopted by a Rajasthan family. Father Vijay opposes SJ Surya, who is a baddie in their village. SJ Surya kills Vijay and Nithya and the kid is safely tracked by Kovai Sarala and she takes him to Chennai. Kovai Sarala makes him a doctor and the Rajasthan Vijay becomes a magician. Both of them meet in the US. Later, they find out that they are twins and come to know about their father and mother and take revenge on SJ Surya. We don’t know if this is the same story scripted by Atlee, but this is circulating on the social media, virally.
