It is doubted if the film will release for Diwali as the film industry is on strike not to release the films until the government solves the ticket price issue. However, the theaters are getting ready to screen the films. Mersal will be released in 3000+ theaters worldwide. Among those theaters, Tamilnadu will have 600+ Screens and Kerala will have 350+ Screens. Mersal will be screened on more than 800 screens in Malaysia. The latest report is that the film will hit 275+ screens in the US among which 75 screens are for Telugu version of Mersal.
