The mighty ISRO has been getting ready to launch Chandrayaan 3, soon. Yes, probably this mission will be completed in 2020. Although Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram Lander didn’t have a soft landing, it is not a failure, stated the Minister, Jitendra Singh. The Minister also reasoned out for Vikram Lander’s hard landing. As the velocity reduced to 146 m/s from 1683 m/s, the braking phase didn’t meet the set parameters. That’s the reason why Vikram had a hard landing.
The Minister also stated that we have learned a lot from this and we will achieve the mission successfully, soon. We don’t have to take a lot of attempts as the other countries like the US and we have a lot of hope that we will complete the mission, stated the Minister. ISRO Planned to land Vikram on the south pole of the lunar surface and this is India’s 1st attempt. It is to be noted that none had landed on the South Pole. Hopefully, ISRO will make it!
