Fasting Protest By Seeman To Drop The Hydrocarbon Extraction Project!

The central government has approved to extract Hydrocarbon from Neduvasal. If the extraction scheme is implemented, it would definitely make the lands infertile and would cause severe water scarcity, say the experts. Naam Tamizhar Party Organizer Seeman has planned to do a fasting protest in Neduvasal, Pudhukottai. His request to the government is to drop the hydrocarbon extraction plan in Pudhukottai and Karaikkal. Naam Tamizhar Party has planned a mega fasting protest, which will be held the day after tomorrow. Meanwhile, on 26th February 2017, the CPML Makkal Viduthalai Movement’s General Secretary Balan has announced a fasting protest in Pudhukottai and invited the public to participate in the protest. In his press note, Balan says that the farmers’ suicide rate has increased due to the water scarcity. If the hydrocarbon scheme is implemented, then there will be no farmers remaining to feed the nation.
