CPML Makkal Vidudhalai Movement’s General Secretary Balan’s Press Release!

Like “ Seeman Sebastian Seeman is popularly recognised as Seeman >> Read More... ” calls for the fasting protest to insist the central government to drop the hydrocarbon extraction project, CPML Makkal Viduthalai Movement has invited the public to participate in the fasting protest tomorrow. In the Press release, Balan, the General Secretary of the movement stated that the government had approved the plan to extract hydrocarbon from Neduvasal in Pudhukottai and Karaikal in Pondicherry. The approval has been signed on 15th February 2017. Already the suicide death rate of the farmers had increased due to the water scarcity. The hydrocarbon project paves the way to increase the mortality rate further. Balan also reports that the Central Government plans to bury the Tamilnadu Agriculture. Balan also informs that the government has approved the hydrocarbon extraction scheme in 31 places in India and agreement has been made with 22 companies. 15 companies are ready to extract the hydrocarbon instantly. He also questions that when the disaster management board depend upon the bucket technology to remove the oil spills, how should we trust the government.
