” had planned a review trip to the Gaja affected areas. He started his trip from Trichy via helicopter. But, due to the rain in those areas, his trip to Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur districts is canceled and he returned to Trichy. As the cyclone damaged more than one lakh electric poles, the power supply to those areas couldn’t be given immediately. The government would be buying the poles from the neighboring states and start its rescue works.
