Election Commission Transfers Chennai Police Commissioner George!

Chennai Police Commissioner George, who was rumored to be the supporter of the ruling party, has been transferred by the Election Commission. Earlier in February, “O Panneerselvam” and “M K Stalin” insisted on transferring the Commissioner, as he favors “V K Sasikala” team. During the Jallikattu issue, it was stated that George didn’t obey the orders of the then CM OPS. Recently, George was ordered by the Madras high Court, to appear in person and to submit the details of the land grab cases and criminal cases. He was ordered to appear before the court in the contempt of court case. He didn’t appear but submitted a petition that he has directed the case to the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Later, the court exempted George from personal appearing. Now, his transfer in this peak time of RK Nagar election seems to be done purposely as he had been favoring the ruling party. It is to be noted that the Election Administrator Padmaja Devi was replaced by Praveen Nair, earlier this month.
