Local Body Elections in Tamilnadu had been announced and it will be held in two schedules, 27th December 2019 and 30th December 2019. On 6th December 2019, the contestants could file for nomination and the last date to file the nomination is 13th December 2019. The nominations will be reviews on 16th December and the withdrawal of the nomination could be done within 18th December 2019. The votes will be counted on 2nd January 2020. The local body elections in the villages will have the traditional vote slip method.
The election was supposed to be held three years back. After the results announced, the first meeting will be held on 6th January 2020. ADMK and DMK are expected to have a huge competition in the local body election.
