Ashok further adds that he was being typecast in serious roles. One such example is the film Soodhu Kavvum, where he played a serious role and he hardly even laugh in the movie. That’s when he decided to try a comedy film and until Savaale Samaali came his way. He believes that it’s the kind of film that everybody will love. After donning three back-to-back hit films, the actor is quite happy with the recognition he received from everyone around him.

Ashok also said that the best part about success is when people recognize you wherever you go. People will smile at him and wave their hands to him when he’s in public. When he was shooting in Switzerland for Savaale Samaali, people there came and spoke to him and they are happy to see him. Ashok is on high when he can make people happy.
