Recently, the pirated copies of Premam were released in the Internet, but the perpetrator remains vague. The authorities were trying to bring this issue to an end. I'd like to know why there is such a delay. The cyber cell was able to catch the person who leaked the teaser of the Tamil film Puli, within a day of the incident, but in the case of Premam, there is no action."
Anwar said that even if the current copies were deleted, new copies will emerge. The DVD copies of the film were allegedly sold at Malappuram and Beema Palli area. He said that if the police were unable to arrest the spread of Premam online, why they can’t arrest the people who are selling the DVDs and even if they have all the information, they did not even go to those areas, he added.
The producer also mentioned that the pirated copies are composed of the censor copies that were distributed to a studio and Chennai and Trivandrum only, but no one ever investigate those studios. The disappointed producer says, he gave all the information needed to the authorities and they promised to take immediate action about the issue, yet there is no update on the case until now.
