B Unnikrishnan Explains The Reason Behind Shooting Villain In 8K

B Unnikrishnan is a lead director in Malayalam cine field. In a recently held interview, Unnikrishnan explained the reason for shooting his forthcoming flick Villain in 8K technology. He used a special Red Camera of Weapon Helium 8K series. By going for this technology, Villain happens to be the first Indian movie to be shot totally in 8K Resolution. The director said that he does not desire to compromise on the quality of the movie visuals and so he thought of shooting the movie in 8K resolution.

Most of the Malayalam movies are shot at 1.8L and then upgraded to 2K or 4K resolution. This results in the drop of its attractiveness visually. Unnikrishnan explained that he will be carrying out the shoot in 8K and then bring it down to 4K or 2K so as to maintain the quality of the visuals.
