Kalasala Babu Passed Away At 68!

Kalasala Babu, the popular Mollywood actor, left to the eternal world at 68. Babu had been getting his treatment for the heart ailment at Amritha Hospital, Kochi. He had been in the hospital for the past three months. He is said to have died due to cerebral hemorrhage. Kalasala Babu is the son of popular Kathakali legend Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and his mom Kalyanikutty Amma was a popular Mohiniyattam dancer. He made his entry into Mollywood with John Paul movie, Ineya Thedi. Babu had played in the negative shades and he was appreciated for his stunning performances. He had played with all the top stars in Malayalam film industry. Some of his hit films are “Mammootty” starrer Thuruppu Gulan and Pokkiri Raja, “Dileep” starrer “Runaway” and “Mohanlal” starrer “Balettan.” Kalasala Babu is survived by his wife Lalitha and two children. His daughter Sreedevi is in the US and son Viswanathan is in Ireland. Our deepest condolences to his family! May his soul rest in peace!
