The recent attack on the famous Rameshwaram Café shocked many in Karnataka. However, not many know that this attack also claimed another popular event as well: the grand finale of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’!
Based on the famous Hindi reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s Kannada version has been equally popular. The show, which streams on Zee Kannada, was all set for another grand finale, which would have been hosted at Yadagiri. There were even reports of the State Health Minister, Dinesh Gundurao attending this event as a guest of honor. An estimated 30000 people were to gather at this event.
However, as per some media reports, the shows were canceled abruptly. Following the attack on the Rameshwaram Café, there were intelligence reports that this event might be targeted as well.
According to some reports, it is said that the decision was taken to avoid a repetition of the events, that occurred in Bengaluru. No sooner had the district administration received such a message, than they messaged the Zee channel operators with a clear instruction to cancel this event. It is uncertain when this event will be conducted again.
