The mehendi commenced at 11 in the morning and saw the bride sporting a red lehenga. An expert was assigned for the event and made intricate patterns on Nirupama’s hands. The best part was a discreet D, which is Dileep’s initial netted into the design.

Shivarajkumar shared that the entire cousins and college friends of the bride attended Nirupama and Dileep’s big day. Nirupama’s mother-in-law was the first one to draw a pattern on her hand, followed by the actor’s paternal aunts, which gave the event a personal touch. Nirupama’s mother, Geetha, who has been very busy with the wedding preparations, also made time to get the mehendi done.

The ceremony was generally restricted to the ladies of the family, Shivarajkumar joined and dance to the tune of Yo Yo Honey Singh that continuously play during the ceremony. He said it makes him emotional to set her daughter free from them, but he is excited about her tying the knot.
