I Am Not Doing Something Illegal - Lahari Velu

Lahari Velu has bagged the rights to release “Kabali” in Star Hotels in Karnataka. There will be four shows for three days from the release of the film. When the theater owners started complaining the screening of the film in the star hotels, Lahari Velu replied, 'I have paid tax for screening the film in the Five Star hotels and I am trying to acquire permission for screening it. I think this will become a major market for Kannada films in the future. I am not able to understand what is illegal in screening a film if I pay tax legally and acquire permission.' Meanwhile, many companies in Bangalore has announced holiday during the release of Kabali. Velu also informed that many of the producers are contacting him via phone and showing their interest in releasing the films in Star Hotels. Recently, Puneeth Rajkumar starrer “Dodmane Huduga” producer Govindu had called him and inquired the same, says Velu.
