The director planned to have a sequel of the multi-starrer but the casting seems to be an issue. The leading male duo Akshay and Arjun won’t be working for the film, and hence the director thought of roping in

for one of the characters. John also seemed interested in the project and wanted to be a part of the sequel, but recently he walked out of it. The reason for this is that the dates he was comfortable with were those of the year 2018 and it was not feasible for the director to wait for that long. Although both of them were tried to work on the schedule, John finally walked out since he is packed till mid-2017 at least. An added issue is that the actor has lost quite some time because of his accident on the sets of Force-2. He has now recovered from his injury and needs to pace-up his work in order make it up for the delay.
It seems the only character that has been finalised for the sequelof Aankhen is that of Amitabh Bachchan which will be played by BigB yet again.
