The Desert Island event was organized in Park Hotel, Kettering in March and Mr. Coles was invited as an honourable guest for that evening.
Being the cleric at St Mary the Virgin Church, Finedon, the former pop star of the 1980s, Mr. Coles is also a popular broadcaster on Saturday live of Radio 4. He has been featured on many TV shows including Have I Got News For You.
Sue Lynch, Save the Children committee member of the Kettering branch thanked everyone and Mr. Coles and announced the fantastic total of £1,681 that was raised in the event for the noble cause. She couldn't be happier than she seemed. God bless all those who helped.
