Top 10 Tollywood Logics

Top 10 Tollywood Logics Telugu Article

Tollywood movies have mostly been stereotyped to the same old classic story of the protagonist rescuing the damsel in distress and with many elements of the mainstream classic remaining the same. There is much to talk about relevant to the stereotyping that Tollywood has nurtured since its beginning. Here is a list of 10 things that you will find relatable regarding mainstream movies.

1. Family Sentiment

Most of the mainstream Tollywood movies revolve around family sentiment as most of the audience of all classes can relate to the script. The main element usually revolves around the father of the family or a murdered or expired member of the family.

2. Immortal Hero

Tollywood is mostly a hero-centric industry, and hence the script totally surrounds the hero without which there is no screen time. There is a definitely a fight sequence involving the antagonist in which the hero is almost invincible with surreal wound healing skills.

3. Fickle And Stupid Villain

The antagonist or the villain has always played a role in which he is easily manipulated by the hero and has no clue that he is toyed with even with the obvious cues. At the end, however, powerful or influential the villain is, he falls to his doom.

4. Damsel In Distress

Every movie has a damsel in distress that is the female lead, the heroine. She is extremely powerless despite being the daughter of a business elite or a politician and has to be guarded all times.

5. Instant Love

Since time immemorial, it has always been the hero who has to chase the girl and woe her into falling in love with him all by her looks and nothing else. The process mostly consists of stalking the girl until one fine day he saves her from a few thugs and voila instant love.

6. Displaced Item Song

Item song is one of the most classic and essential elements of the Tollywood industry. The item song pops up out of nowhere, a police station, a traffic jam. It can literally stir anywhere.

7. Silly Comedy

Comedy once used to be humorous and witty which now seems like an old expectation. These days it mostly involves physical abuse that is slapping and hitting which mostly makes no sense and is supposedly funny.

8. Sudden Change In Attitude

The protagonist starts up as an irresponsible, lazy person who is ignorant of all the privileges and then mid-way the plot something drastic happens like someone dying or a disturbing news and that’s when he realises he’s got his life all wrong until that point.

9. Social Responsibilities

Social Responsibilities like saving street children, saving a harassed woman and all of a sudden the hero thrives to abide by morality and fights for those temporary moral values and then the plot continues with the girl and the antagonist.

10. Fighting Sequence

Every movie has a fighting sequence that has people flying around with no physical laws that can apply to them. The hero gets the thrill of throwing people around with just a single blow, and he can take a knife stab and still fight like nothing happened.
