1. J.Jayalalithaa

There isn’t another contender for the first position. The three-time Filmfare award winner J. Jayalalithaa was a relatively inexperienced politician, when she started out under the wings of the founder of A.I.A.D.M.K, M. G. Ramachandran. She then rose to the ranks of the leader of the A.I.A.D.M.K party in a very short period. Her single-mindedness put her as the C.M of Tamil Nadu not twice but five times.


2. Maruthur Gopalan Ramachandran or MGR

He was voted 'Greatest Indian Actor of All Time' in a CNN-IBN national poll conducted in 2013, on the occasion of the Centenary of Indian Cinema. He used his popularity to enter into politics and “cleansethe state of corruption from the Indian National Congress.” His party TDP (Teleugu Desam Party) made history when they beat the Indian National Congress for during elections. Naturally, he was made the C.M of the state, and he continued to serve the state two more times.
