Thala Ajith-The Real Box Office King

Ajith is one star who throws lot of surprises. There would not be much talk about the film but it is only about Ajith that people would talk, before his flicks release. The movie buffs surely would know that this star is a hardworker and a very good person in personal life. But beyond that, there is some charm in him that allures him to masses. His films are known for being the best opener and the trend continues with the recent flick Vedalam.

Ajith’s films get the mass opening just like the flicks of superstar Rajinikanth. And the surprising element is that this star is known to be a private person. Many good things would have been written about him but on his side he maintains a low profile. But sometimes he opens his mind for the right causes. When a review about his films is written one would have noticed that Ajith’s mere presence in the flick is the highlight. Ajith is one hero, who manages to pull the crowd, even though the film would be not up to expectations. The recently released Vedalam too (which clashed with Kamal’s Thoonga Vanam) showed that he is a real superstar since it had an overwhelming opening, even beating the history made by Rajinikanth. Yes,the movie has collected around 14.5 to 16 crores in the native state alone. This is the highest opener for any film in Tamil Nadu till date.

Ajith has been in the industry for over 2 decades and his onscreen charisma is enough to mesmerize the fans. His films do the work for him, wherein he shuns from publicity. But again, this doesn’t mean that he had a cakewalk in his career. He also had his turn of failures but it is his hardwork and persistence that has helped him attain this star status. Ajith, who was labeled as Kadhal Mannan initially, didn’t seem to have any problems in becoming an action hero. In fact, he seemed to manage this transformation with much ease. His performances in Vaali, Dheena, Villian, Billa, Mangatha, Arambam showed that he can essay different characters with equal panache.

Well, with Vedalam breaking the box office records, one only is assured that he is here to stay!
