Deepika portrays Rani Padmavati who is known for her beauty. Rani Padmavati marries Ratan Singh of Mewar kingdom. Alauddin Khilji, the Sultan of Delhi hears of Rani Padmavati’s beauty and forms an obsession with her. The movie ends with Khilji capturing Chittor but he couldn’t enslave Rani Padmavati and the rest of the Rajput women who perform jauhar.

This is a film adapted on the life of the emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan empire who ruled modern-day Patna in 304 BCE. Kareena plays the princess of Kalinga, Kaurwaki who falls for Asoka who is in exile to escape some unprecedented dangers. A heartbreaking and menacing war in Kalinga changes Asoka who then embraces a Buddhist approach to life.
Kajol plays the wife of Maratha warrior Tanhaji. Tanhaji is Shivaji Maharaj's lieutenant. When the Kondhana fort was invaded by the Mughals, he fights to recapture the fort. Kajol's role is of less time but her screen presence makes her the heroine of the story.
Miss World 2017 Manushi debuted in Bollywood with the role of Sanyogita in the movie Samrat Prithviraj. Sanyogita was the daughter of King Jaichand Kannauj who falls in love and marries Prithviraj Chauhan. She did a commendable job with her acting.
