10. Barfi

It is a well crafted movie by director Anurag Basu. The movie is a comedy drama which features Ranbir Kapoor as Barfi (deaf & mute) and focuses on his relationships with Shruti (‘ Ileana D Cruz’) and Jhilmil ( Priyanka Chopra) who is autistic (Neuro-Developmental disorder). The movie was widely praised and won many awards. It was also India’s official entry for Best Foreign Language Film at 85th academy awards.

This movie highlights the issues regarding euthanasia which is an important issue worldwide. The performance of the actors was noteworthy and both lead actors got Filmfare nominations for their work.
