We have always been aspired to make something like Hollywood movies but the time when Hollywood copies from us, and that doesn’t leave any instance to look like a copy and we never get any clue whereabouts of it. Here is my list of movies that I felt yeah they did pretty well in copying.
The American remake of the 2007 Japanese horror film ('APARTMENT 1303'), the movie was a creator by the book by Kei Oishi, who also wrote Love Eternal. It tells the story of a haunted apartment that drives its residents to suicide. The original movie was confusing but bearable whereas the remake didn’t do any justice to its former, the horror seems missing in the remake version, and it failed in its genre.
Have you ever watched any Kurosawa movie well if not then you should start with this (Seven Samurai) The remake version is as good as the original, and it keeps the hype real and the 2016 version released is also one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
This is movie has no real equivalent. It’s a story based on how several dogs try to escape from Antarctica where they've been accidentally left by a scientific expedition. The remake is terrific, the dogs in Eight Below are so well trained that you love to watch it again. The movie is for all ages. It’s a must have for your wish list.
Gojira (Japanese version) by is one of the best monster movies ever made and also one of the Japanese finest work in allegory category. The Godzilla series continues after that, and the latest one you can catch is the 2014 version that redefines the 2016 visual effects.
The story based on exchanging letters one in 1997 and one in 1999 and this is just perfect flick you can catch, and you would never get bored watching it.
A South Korean drama "Addicted” tells a story about two brothers who get into a car accident, and that leads to both brothers into a coma, only the younger brother wakes up while, the older brother remains Tacoma and the story brings a twist to its tale. 'Possession' is a tolerable execution it’s neither too bad nor too good.
The film based on a department store in South Korea, the department store caught fire, and one woman was killed. Few years later the department store was opened again, and the story starts, well you have to watch it where it goes further. The remake version has not done anything unique.
From Hong Kong finest cinemas “Internal Affairs” is extremely well-directed and produced the film. It has no gratuitous violence or sex, just a great story with excellent acting and strong characters. I found myself drawn in more and more as the story progressed. The remake version “The Departed”. I'm a long time Scorcese fan, but I have to say I'm pretty disappointed that he remade Infernal Affairs scene for scene without making any mention of Internal Affairs. Nothing against remakes, but I think it's only fair to make it clear when a project isn't original. If you like the Departed, watch the original and see for yourself.
The Japanese cinema “Rashomon", Akira Kurosawa's 1950 film is burying the truth because no one can handle it. This is a popular thing in today’s time also because people prefer to live a lie than admit the truth, It’s one of the best movies that you should watch in your lifetime. The remake “The outrage” is about gunfights, cattle and natives this is not one for you, but it's worth watching because of Newman's character and acting and the fine script. The third remake “Iron Sadly”, the movie has been poorly directed, poorly photographed and poorly acted. The result is a muddled, unpleasant and self-indulgent film.
Eat Drink Man Woman deals with the generational gap between old and new Chinese cultures. A story about a widowed father and a great cook who has unfortunately begun to lose his sense of taste—thereby he needs to have some assistants to taste his food to get the flavors get right. Much of the movie covers on the love life of him; It’s a fantastic movie for anyone who is looking for a slice of life, a movie that covers world cultures or someone who wants to watch a cute romantic movie. Well, remake version “Tortilla Soup“ watching an almost replica of a brilliant film executed in less than impressive manner is just frustrating... and an insult to the original.
