Singanamala Ramesh Telugu Actor

Singanamala Ramesh

Singanamala Ramesh, famous as Singanamala Ramesh Babu, is an Indian producer working under the Telugu banner of Sri Kanakaratna Movies Pvt. Ltd that he has founded. He has had a very controversial career that is spiced and peppered with allegations of extortion and cheating. He is well- known as S. Ramesh Babu and has played a pivotal role in the production of quite a few movies like Veeda, Khaleja, and Maa Annayya. Amongst all his movies, Maa Annayya was his first production, which got released in 2000. The film starred Dr. Rajashekhar and turned out to be a hit in the audience’s opinion. The family movie managed to rack up a respectable collection. The 2003 film, Veede was an action romance movie. This movie was an adaptation of its Tamil counterpart Shool that had to be released in 2002. Veede was his second collaboration with the esteemed director Ravi Raja Pinisetty. In the same year, Singanamala ventured into Tamil movies with Ramachandra. The movie went on to win an award for the best male playback in the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, but other than that the film failed to make an impact on the regular movie-goers. As per the critics, the violence depicted in the movie and the clichéd storyline made the movie unwatchable. After the previous setback, Singanamala also released Janaki Weds Sriram and Villan, but both the movies were not spectacular and left the spectators expecting more from him. In 2005, the renowned director P. Vasu expressed his wish to direct superstar Rajnikanth again but due to his prior engagements with Sivaji, the plans had to be shelved. He then managed to convince Ajith Kumar to play the role. After a change in the production and direction, it was Singanamala who agreed to finance the project, finally waving the green flag for the movie. This incident is how Paramasivan, the Tamil film, became a reality. He also got involved in other projects like the Tamil films Nam Naadu and Pokkiri in the year 2007. In 2010, he produced Khaleja the film featuring Mahesh Babu. This Telugu movie showed Mahesh’s strong presence to a level that it started being called Mahesh Khaleja. It gave Mahesh a breakthrough back into the film industry after a gap of four years. Even then, the movie was not a blockbuster and did not live up to its potential. After this, Singanamala stopped doing films but things turned out very messy for him. In 2011, he was arrested by the CID since they had concrete evidence to help trace the location of the prime accused, Bhanu, in the Maddelacheruvu Suri’s murder case. Suri was a gangster. S. Ramesh Babu was also booked for cheating and taken to the Chennai Local Court. He was closely associated with the victim and the accused, due to which he resorted to blackmailing to regain all the money he had incurred as a loss in his movie ventures. Later, he was under judicial remand. Both his sons have made their debut in the field of acting.
