Born on August 13, 1954, in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, B.V.S.N Prasad is a producer and distributor in the Telugu cinema industry. He is the owner of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra, a film production company. Prasad started out his career partnering with Pasupuleti Rama Rao, a film journalist as a film distributor and worked his way into cinema production with the movie Driver Babu in the year 1986. Driver Babu was directed by Boyina Subba Rao and starred by
Sobhan Babu alongside Radha.
His film production company started its first production with the movie “Ee Abbai Chala Manchodu” starring
Ravi Teja and directed by Agathiyan.
The company partnered with Reliance Entertainment in the year 2012 and released their first film “Devudu Chesina Manushulu” in the same year. Prasad won the Filmfare award for Best Film in the Telugu Category and the B. Nagi Reddy-Best Wholesome Family Entertainer for the movie Attarintiki Daredi. Naraku Preematho, starring Jr. N.T.R and directed by Sukumar, is the latest movie released under the production of B.V.S.N Prasad. Prasad got married to Vijayalakshmi. They have two children with the names of Bapinedu and Prasanna. His daughter Prasanna got married recently on March 9, 2014. His birth name is Bhogavalli Venkata Sathyanarayana Prasad.
