She was born in Hanuman Junction and brought up in Gudiwada, Vijayawada and completed up to 6th std. Her father is Srinivas who is an interior contractor. Her mother is Lakshmi. Vishu Priya has a brother, Rajesh, who is a photographer. Vishnu Priya completed her college-Vanita Maha Vidyalaya. She likes her school life and got many proposals during school days. 

She enjoys watching movies with friends. A Tamil Director saw her in Superstar Krishna's house function and gave a chance for a short film. She did her first shoot in Chennai. Next, Vishnu Priya got a heroine opportunity through director Maruti. She feels thankful to the directors who support the Telugu heroines and gives them the opportunity. She did a Tamil movie titled Konjam Mainakale, and Telugu films like Prema Katha Chithram, Romance, Mr Pellikoduku, Balupu, Pyaar Me Padipoiyaane, Pilla Nuvu Leni Jeevitham and much more.
