Raksha is also famously known as Rani. She is a versatile actress that is well known in many regional cinemas of India, namely Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. She started her career as an actress in the year 1992 when she played the role of a well-known and respected sculptor’s daughter who is invited by Kalimuthu played by actor Ramaranjan, a singer for the reconstruction of his village and falls in love with him. This was a Tamil film titled “Villu Pattukaran”. Although the film did not receive any positive reviews from the critics because of a weak story plot, the soundtracks of the film were well received. Since then, Raksha has so far acted in more than 13 regional films include one in Hindi titled “Bulandi” and has some special appearances in songs to her credit in films like ‘Namma Annachi’, ‘Uyirile Kalanthathu’, ‘Pandhayam’etc. She also has a special cameo appearance in the hit film of actor Chiranjeevi “ Indra Click to look into! >> Read More... In 2008, she made a comeback with a Telugu film called “Nachavule” and did a special song appearance in the same year for a film ‘Padhayam’ in the song ‘Chinna Maamiye’. This popular song was “O Padu”, for which she came to be known as “O Padu Rani” and by which she is still famously known. After working on a Tamil film “Ohh La La La” in 2012, she has recently worked on a Telugu film tentatively titled as “ Chitrangada Click to look into! >> Read More... Chitrangada ”, in which she plays the role of Anandhi. The said film is in Post Production stage at the moment. Her Filmography includes films like Nattamai, Namma Annachi, Andha Naal, Kadhai Kottai, etc. in Tamil cinema, One Man Army, Bava Bamaida, etc. in Kannada and Chirunavula Varamistava, Indra, Chitrangada, etc. in Telugu cinema.
