Vijay Marur is a Hyderabad based artist, who has won the hearts of the people with his skills. Born on 19 November 1954, he completed his schooling from Hyderabad Public School in 1972. After pursuing BA Honours in Economics at Loyola College, Chennai, Vijay graduated in 1976. After that, he studied Management at IIM Bangalore in 1978.
He began his professional life as a Copy chief at M/S Frank Donald Stewart Private Limited from 1979-80. For a while, he also became the Chief Executing Officer at DC Interactive Private Limited. Finally, the city-famous theatre artist became the director and CEO at Heartswork. He founded Little Theatre with his two friends. They performed stage plays and organized readings. He hosted the Hindu MetroPlus Theatre Festival, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad.
Vijay wrote columns for the Times Food Guide Hyderabad edition from 2000 to 2010. Writing about Telugu food, he used to write columns for RITZ magazine.
He married Lata, an artist, and is a father to two children. In 2018, he worked in a Telugu movie, Mithai.
