Sushma Raj

Sushma Raj, age 24, is an actress who has worked in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industry. Born on 19th January 1991, Sushma Raj hails from a Telugu family settled in Bangalore. She was raised and brought up in Karnataka’s capital city, Bangalore. She was a fashion design student before she started her career as an actress. Her mother is from Andhra Pradesh, hence her innate connection to Telugu movies.

Before making it into the film industry, she used to take part in various modelling and fashion events, as a part of her curriculum where she was then spotted by a Kannada filmmaker. She received many positive reviews for her admirable role in Madarangi, a romantic Kannada film, which was her debut. Despite having such a low promotion, Madarangi became a hit, luring the actress more roles. Maaya, a Telugu psychological thriller, saw the actress take herself to a new level altogether.

This was her first break-through role in films. Consequently, she was seen in Joru, the film, however, was not a great hit.
