Later, they got separated and Vijay had been staying with his parents. Due to some misunderstanding, Vanitha left Vijay. A case had been pending in the Police station against Vijay. Vijay, who lost the cinema opportunity, had been suffering from depression. As he has some serious financial troubles, Vijay decided to end his life. He hanged himself to death on 11th December 2017 at his Yousufguda residence. Before committing suicide, Vijay Sai has sent a message to his Whatsapp group. He also recorded a video stating that his estranged wife Vanitha, director Sashidhar and advocate Srinivas were torturing him for money.
