R. Samala

R. Samala is an Indian Producer, Director and Screen Writer. His full name is Ramesh Samala. He is a resident of Hyderabad and works in the Telugu Film Industry, also called Tollywood. He has completed his Masterin Arts in Theater Arts from Sri Saraswathi Sishu Mandir at the Central University of Hyderabad. He was a gold medallist in college. He has worked with AKS Entertainment in the past but currently works with R. Samala Productions Pvt. Ltd. which is his own production company. He has been working as an autonomous producer under his banner for four years now. He is mostly known for his work as a Director and Writer of the movie Columbus which was released in 2015.

He is considered as one of the most capable young and new age talents in the Telugu Industry bringing stories to life on screen. Not only is he talented but he also has an optimal experience in the field. He is also the founder of Yavanika Theater Group which brought theater back to life in a city called Nawabs. He was considered to be a bag full of energy onstage as well as behind the scenes. He finally took the leap and moved to films in 2001. He started as an Assistant Director in a movie called Ishtam. He is one of the few lucky debutants who got an opportunity to work with big names early on in his career. He is also known for his institutional involvement with various charity causes. He has significant volunteer experience from his college days. He actively works on and contributes to improving the condition of multiple fields of work like Arts and Culture, Education and Science & Technology. He is also an active member of Telugu Film Directors Associations since March 2002.
