Jaishankar Chigurula

Jaishankar Chigurula, born on 3 March 1992 in Hyderabad, Telangana, is a South Indian film director/screenwriter. He predominantly worked in the Telugu film industry and made his debut with the film called 21. It released in July of 2016. Jaishankar was born to Lakshmi Chigurula and Mallaiah Chigurula in Secunderabad. He attended the Govt Boys High School, Secunderabad, Telangana.

Chigurula dreamt of becoming a filmmaker since his school days. He attended the R.K. Junior college but quit studies to pursue his dream career in filmmaking in 2009. although that turned out to be a failure, he did not give up. Chigurula learned 3D Animation, VFX & Editing, worked on a few short films, and in 2014 he decided to make a movie (21) on his own.

He started working on the project of '21' in March of 2014, under the new production company Owl Motion Pitchers, and had a very micro-budget of two lakhs INR. The film was later released on 29 July 2016. His second film 'Zinga' was released in 2019. It had the star cast of Sanjeev Devan, Jyothi, and Sri Ram in lead roles to bring the story of a giant alien to the Telugu film screens.
