Murugan Gopal Krishnan

Murugan Gopal Krishnan, better known as DOP Murugan Gopal, is a talented Cinematographer from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. With over 12 years of experience in the film industry, he has made a name for himself in the Tollywood entertainment industry. Murugan is skilled in overseeing all aspects of film production, from camera lens choices to lighting, set design, and other technical matters that impact the overall visual outcome of the film. Some of Murugan's skills include still photography, all camera operation, lighting knowledge, artistic direction, editing and processing pictures, and production management. He also has basic-level experience in editing videos.

Over the years, Murugan has worked on various film projects, including being an Assistant Cinematographer in the South Film Industry from July 2010 to April 2014. During this time, he worked on movies like Adhinaiyakadu, Karthikeya, Surya vs Surya, and Prema Ishq Kadal. He also worked as an Associate Cinematographer and Production Controller for Fine Arts Advertising Agency Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from June 2014 to August 2015, where he worked on campaigns for brands like BSA Cycles, Paries Sugar, and Murugappa Groups. In August 2015, Murugan became a Cameraman and Consultant for an advertising agency in Kigali, Rwanda, where he worked on projects for brands like the Rwandan Government, Bank of Kigali, Unico, TBC, Kigali Coffee, and Rwanda Tourism.

In 2016, Murugan became the Director of Photography for ZEE Channel and ESSEL Vision Productions in Mumbai, India, where he worked on shows like Thumcha Amcha Jamla Zee Marathi, Maggie Kitchen for Living Food, and brand refreshing videos for TV, promos for ZEE channels, Living Food, Zee Prive, Zee International, Zee Yuva, and Zee Marathi. From October 2018 to May 2019, Murugan worked as the Director of Photography for the Hyderabad Telugu Film Industry, where he contributed to the making of the movie Rama Chakkani Seetha. Murugan is a freelance and Consultant based in Mumbai, India, and a senior consultant for Bollywood magazine and digital. He works on various projects, including being a freelance DOP for EVPL, Scoopwoop, Arre, and promos for other channels in the ZEE Network.
