Kovai Chezhiyan is a Tamil producer who was born and raised in Tamil Nadu. His alternative name is K.S. Murugesan. He was born on 29 December 1931 and died at the age of 68 in 2000, survived by his three children and wife, who died in 2021. Kovai worked for the Tamil Film Industry from 1950 to 1990. He has produced many films, including Sumaithaangi (1962), Ooty Varai Uravu (1967), Kumari Kottam (1971), Uzhaikkum Karangal (1976) and others.
