Tamil Others Achyuta Samanta

Achyuta Samanta was born on 20th January in the year 1965 to Shri Anadi Charan Samanta (father) and Smt. Nilima Rani Samanta (mother) in a small village called Kalarabanka in the district of Cuttack, Orissa. He currently resides in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. At a young age of four Achyuta Samanta’s father passed away leaving behind his widowed mother and seven other siblings in abject poverty. They faced many a hardships possibly leading to the result of the many organizations he later founded. He eventually went on to complete his graduation from Utkal University with M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University which is located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. After graduating he went on to teaching in colleges for 10 years. He mostly worked under the Maharshi College which was a part of Utkal University, where he worked as a chemistry lab assistant.

He is the present founder, secretary and ex-chancellor of both the prestigious organizations, namely, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). These organizations of his provide various amenities like free food, healthcare, accommodation and education to student from grade 1 to post graduate students. Along with these, he has other organizations such as KIIT International School, KIIT School of Management (KSOM), Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), KIIT School of Computer Application (KSCA), KIIT Law School (KLS), KIIT School of Biotechnology (KSBT), KIIT School of Languages (KSOL), KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Kalinga Polytechnic and Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) under his name.

He is known to be a promoter of both art and culture through his organization which is called Kadambini Media Pvt Ltd (KMPL). He has also been the organizer of Little Miss India competition, Nanhi Pari since the beginning of 2000. He has currently established about 25 spiritual shrines and centres. These places of sanctuary have been constructed in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi’s “Gandhi Gram”. There are also tribal museums which showcase the tribal life and are also seen as centres for both yoga and spiritualism. He has received a number of awards under his name, adding to his credentials and has also created new records under the field of social entrepreneurship. His name has been mentioned under the top 15 Social Entrepreneurs in the world by the American Edge Foundation. Samanta has also won the record for being the youngest Chancellor across India in the Limca Book of Records.
